Collapse and Rebuild

If someone died
Or someone screamed
I might just get the hint,
It may break my bubble
So that I can dive
And maybe notice just in time
That my world is gone
And all has changed,
Nothing's so simple
And everything's plain,
Where hope has fled
And friends were lost
To break a heart
Left in the dust
That dries up the tears
Falling from faces
With nothing to hold onto
In this time we seldom see,
Where everyone's hurting
And everyone's lost
To someone,
Where they can no longer stand
Or feel the pain
Because its all constant
And their soul barely lingers
To stay in the game,
Life fades
Until its gone,
All the bluster is lost
In a wasteland
With no hope
And only dust,
But I let one last tear fall,
Stand up for a cause
That will free someone else
And give it one last shot,
Taking grain by grain
And bit by bit,
To build the world again.
